Oh Hey Friday

1. Part of having your house "on the market" is agreeing to house showings. Showings where you want your house to look its best, as prospective buyers will be walking through and assessing everything. One would think these showings would be arranged well in advance. This has not been the case for us; most of our showings have only given an hour or two notice. Inevitably, I get the phone call in the middle of feeding Parker. I hang up the phone and I see this.

2. Just keepin' it real, yo.

3. As a reward/pat-on-the-back to myself for making it out of the house with all toys in baskets, and dishes put away, and floors swept, and trash taken out, and counters wiped down, and laundry hidden, I have made Nektar our go-to place to chill during showings.

3. Literally chill. It's hot as Hades here in Scottsdale during the summer, so Parker and I need an escape with air conditioning. If we were selling during any other time or the year, I could simply take Parker on neighborhood walks during showings. I would be the fittest home owner ever. However, it's summer, so off to Nektar we go! Parker and I share the yummy, ice-cold Acai Bowls. My sister introduced me to Acai Bowls on our sister trip to Hawaii years ago, so I was super excited to see them here in Arizona.

4. Parker is all about them.

5. I ordered littlest man his very own kid-sized smoothie the last time we were there. There's some serious sippin' going on here. Thanks, Nektar, for being our special place during house selling season!

  2. WOW! High Five for getting it all done before the showing! I remember those days as a kid. My mom would put down the phone and we'd immediately leap into action :) Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Mad props to you mama! I was a teenager when my parents were showing their house and even that was a nightmare. I cannot imagine doing it with a toddler in the blazing AZ heat. Fingers crossed for you!
