Weekend Snapshots

Parker and I kicked off our weekend by enjoying our complimentary Donut Day donuts at the local Dunkin's on Friday. Since Daddy was at work, we picked up a box to take home for him so he could celebrate as well.

Luckily our CSA box came in the night before so we had plenty of produce to balance out all the donuts. How pretty are these colors?

Max and I attended the Red Cross Gala for Northern Alabama on Saturday night as guests at the table sponsored by Max's company. The event was black tie - my favorite!!

And you know we logged in some family pool time over the weekend!

I am just loving the slow pace, family focus, and overall friendliness of our new area!

Also, I'm loving being greeted by these pretties each time I come in the side entry to the house! Amaze, right??

Happy Monday from Sweet Home Alabama!

  1. Your CSA veggies look delicious. We were going to sign up for CSA this year, but I procrastinated and didn't get to it in time. Next year, for sure! Love the dress and necklace you wore to the gala!

    1. Thanks so much! If your CSA offers a half size, that's a goos start! That's what we are doing and it's still SO much produce every week!

    1. Thank you! Unfortunately if I cut them and bring them in they just sprinkle little pieces everywhere so I have to leave them put on the big bush outside!

  3. Those flowers are gorgeous! What kind are they? And the CSA box looks like it should be some sort of advertisement for healthy eating! :)

    1. Totes! The produce picture was almost prettier than the donut pic! I was told by a neighbor that the flowers are a type of hydrangea :)

    1. We had no idea that the bushes were flowering ones when we bought the house!! Such a nice surprise!! And, a drive-thru Dunkin's nearby is just dangerous!!

    1. The Dunkins in Scottsdale was all the way across town so we never went. Having one close now is a blessing and a curse!!

    1. Yay! I forgot to mention I used a Silpat on my baking sheet - you could probably also do parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy clean-up!
