Super-Easy Slow-Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala

This Chicken Tikka Masala was the very first "real meal" we fed to Parker. He still loves it. I omit the salt when making it now since I know he'll be eating it, too. It seriously could not be easier. Here's what you'll need for your crock pot:

1 15 oz. can crushed tomato
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tsp. garam masala
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken thighs (I use breast tenders instead)

Here's what you do:

Place all ingredients except the chicken in the slow cooker:

Stir and place chicken on top. Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours (or high for 3-4 hours).

Just before serving, stir in 1/2 cup heavy cream. I pair the Chicken Tikka Masala with brown rice and top with cold cucumber mixed with salt, pepper, lemon juice and cilantro.

This dinner is a favorite for everyone - Max and Parker love the taste and I love that it's so easy to make! If you enjoy Indian food, it's a must-try!

  1. Making this for dinner! Does it call for tomato paste? I see it in the picture but not on ingredient list.
