PCK's 1st Birthday! (Part One)

Parker Campbell is so very loved, and was so very lucky to have family from FOUR different states make the journey to Arizona this past weekend to celebrate his very first birthday! Our theme for his party was One Year Old in a Flash, incorporating cameras, oranges, blues, chevron, stripes, and polka dots. I thought the theme was very fitting as we have been documenting his entire existence on film from the time he was in the womb :)
I used my new Silhouette Cameo to make all the decorations, including the camera cut-outs, bunting and banners. For PCK's monthly photos, I simply printed them all in 5x7 size and hung them on baker's twine with mini clothespins. I loved seeing all the pictures lined up, showing his progression and growth over the entire year!

Party details: We served catered sandwiches, veggies, fruit, chips and other munchies, AND...

The world's most AMAZING cake.

Here it is being delivered by the fabulous Alyssa Hall of Cuteology Cakes. Parker was thrilled and I was so shocked at this beautiful creation that I was completely speechless. It was even more amazing in person, if you can believe it.

I had to hold back happy tears as Alyssa explained that each frame held a photo of Parker from each month of his life. Love, love, love.

The detail on the cake really was incredible!

To go along with the theme, we had a photo booth type set-up for everyone to snap pictures. Max put one of our cameras on a tripod and set it on a timer, and we let these instructions for our guests.

It was a beautiful day, so we set up the drinks table outside.

Parker received his very own smashcake, which awaited him at his highchair!

Pre-party all the family helped set-up and get ready, then we enjoyed the sweet birthday boy before guests arrived.

Cute as can be.

Little man loved all the balloons.

Ready to party! Stay tuned for Part Two!
