Fiesta Americana

We first stayed at The Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach in 2008 when Max proposed to me. It was so neat (and sentimental!) to go back to the very same place almost six years later. The turquoise water and white sand couldn't be more beautiful and I could spend all day staring out at the ocean there!

If you like a big resort with tons of amenities, this is the place! We ended up spending almost all our time at the resort because the windy weather ruled out most of our diving. We split the time between the amazing pools and the white sandy beach. The pools are all connected and are set just steps above the beach, so you can see the ocean the entire time, and it's super convenient to go back-and-forth between the two.

Three of the four pools have swim-up bars, so basically anytime you're swimming you can get a cocktail in hand in minimal time. Score. The Banana Monkey was my drink of choice the entire trip (or champs since we were celebrating!). We had two of our dinners in the pool, just because we could :)

Pool time. So. Much. Fun.

When we weren't enjoying the pools, we were on the beach or in the ocean!

The hotel itself was fabulous. We would totally recommend it. It was open and airy, so well taken care of, and the staff was incredibly kind.

There was an entire area dedicated to arranging their own flower displays which were ah-mazing.

Like I said in my last post, we were upgraded to a Master Suite!! One of the perks, instead of the tiny straw bag, I was gifted with the giant one in the photo above. I love little touches like that!! We were also spoiled with turn-down service every night, complete with chocolates on the bed and slippers fetched. Turndown is my favorite.

The below photos were taken on our suite's balcony. It was so much fun to look out from our room and see the gorgeous views.

We ate all our meals at the resort and the food was phenomenal. There was a ginormous complimentary buffet that we hit up every morning.

I was obsessed with these Mexican pastries with sweet cream cheese in the middle. Yuuuum.

The hotel even surprised us with anniversary cake one night! Delish!

We practiced our Spanish whenever we ordered, and usually ended up in a laugh fest over how much we have forgotten! Cancún, we heart you!
